Lino's Automatic Transmission Service

Alberto is amazing. I took my son's Jeep there for routine transmission servicing and to also replace the AC compressor. He is very patient and took the time to explain to me exactly what was going to with the Jeep and how different parts work together. As a "girl" I am always afraid of getting taken advantage of so I usually have lots of questions. He took his time in explaining everything and made me feel comfortable to ask questions. He didn't try to up sale me on things I didn't need and even gave me advice on preventive measures that will save us in the further. Plus, he got the jeep back to us quickly. I diffinately recommend Lino's for all your general automotive needs.

Overall, these amazing people have been explicit with the customer service. They willingness to help, support and understand had been astonishing. Furthermore, the sense of answering a phone call on a late Saturday afternoon, put them in the top 3% of any organization. This has all been performed without me even getting a service, so I pray the service will be to the next level as well.

Lino’s Automatic Transmission was recommended to me by my “primary auto healthcare provider” (mechanic) — someone I trust implicitly. Because of the confidence I have in my “PAHCP,” I felt comfortable taking my SUV to Lino’s. My vehicle had been experiencing a shudder in the transmission — a lack of smoothness when changing gears. Lino’s checked it out and, rather than jumping straight to replacing the torque converter, suggested starting with a transmission fluid change and a high-quality additive. I had already done some online research and asked about a product called Shudder Fixx, but the mechanic explained that it can cause sludge buildup and recommended a better alternative. That’s the route we took, and I noticed on the way home the shuddering has completely stopped. While inspecting the vehicle, the mechanic also noticed (and showed me a photo of) a damaged CV joint boot — it had a hole that would soon cause the joint to lose lubricant and fail. I saw it for myself and agreed it needed replacement, so they handled that repair as well. Lino’s is located on 29th Street in McAllen, just north of Business 83. Parking can be a little tight, as the lot is usually full of cars,

Long overdue review. Close to a year ago I took my Cadillac thinking the transmission was done, but they were very honest and told me they thought it just needed service, and that did it! Sadly, I will have to take it back next week. So already made the call and immediately answered questions and set me up for Monday. We return were we find the service is just right, and this is the place.
